I specialize in working with individuals with eating disorders and body image concerns. I also have extensive experience working with individuals with anxiety disorders, mood disorders, life transitions, and relational challenges. My treatment philosophy promotes a collaborative therapeutic relationship while empowering individuals to cultivate their own path to wellness.
In our sessions, we will work together to identify the values and goals that are important to you, and the best path to achieving them in a supportive, non-judgmental, and effective way. I utilize a strengths-based and integrative theoretical framework, meaning I draw from different therapeutic modalities based on the needs of each individual client. The empirically-supported treatments I draw on most frequently include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Family-Based Treatment (FBT), and mindfulness-based techniques.
My Why
Growing up in today’s society comes with many opportunities, as well as a multitude of complex challenges. Dealing with pressures of perfectionism, achieving a highly respected career, while maintaining fulfillment in relationships, and one’s own psychological health, to name a few, can seem nearly impossible. I embarked on my own journey to discover my sense of self, values that were important to me, and what inspired meaning in my life while shedding myself of behaviors and mindsets that weren’t serving me. It was through this process that I grew to cherish introspection, depth work, and interpersonal connectedness, which led me to a career in psychotherapy. I enjoy helping others find remarkable transformation through their own individualized journeys of self-discovery. I am sincerely passionate about the work that I do and feel honored to connect with others in a deeply moving and meaningful way. My goal is to meet each client where they’re at and join together with them through every step of the process.
