Rochelle Greenhagen, LMFT

rochelle-10

I feel passionate about empowering people to love and accept themselves. By putting clients back in touch with their true desires, I strive to help them live more fully and genuinely.

My style is warm, intuitive, relational, and heart-centered. I am fairly active in sessions but believe that each client knows better than I do where it is useful to go in our sessions. I believe therapy is best when it is a highly collaborative experience in which both therapist and client work together to better understand what will facilitate healing. I bring my whole self to the therapeutic process, aiming to be as honest, human, and authentic as possible.

My training has been focused on psychodynamic, transpersonal, and humanistic approaches as well as evidenced-based eating disorder therapy techniques. I use a blend of these modalities when sitting with clients. I have a particular passion for working with those suffering from eating disorders. In addition, I enjoy working with people on problematic patterns in relationships, anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and grief. I love facilitating groups and believe in the power of group therapy to elicit radical transformation and growth.

My Why

During my own eating disorder recovery, I had an epiphany in which I knew I wanted a career supporting people on the journey to healing. Prior to my recovery, I never thought it would be possible to love and accept myself. As I shattered this belief, I increasingly wanted to provide hope and support to others doing the courageous work of recovering. Eating disorders obscure and overtake the incredible people that suffer from them. I know from my own experience and from witnessing the recovery journeys of many clients that discovering who you are without your eating disorder AND truly loving that rescued self can be a reality. I would be honored to be a part of your healing process.
