Group Therapy

Group therapy allows you to heal and recover in a very unique way. The isolating belief that you are alone in your struggles will diminish. Supportive feedback from your peers deepens motivation and removes blocks toward recovery. We offer a variety of groups to support you, check them out below.

 

Stronger Together: A Virtual Process Group for Women in Eating Disorder Recovery

This group is for women who are actively engaged in eating disorder recovery and are seeking a supportive, process-oriented space to deepen their healing journey. Whether you are navigating recovery from anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, or other disordered eating patterns, this group offers a place to be seen, heard, and supported by peers who truly understand the struggle.

Led by Geeta Kerawalla, LCSW, meetings will include guidance around recovery tools and tips. Together, we will explore the underlying issues that fuel disordered eating—such as perfectionism, shame, trauma, body image, control, and emotional regulation—while building skills in self-compassion, authenticity, and relational trust.

Recovering While Becoming: A support group for women in their 20’s

Your twenties can be exciting, overwhelming, and full of change. Whether you’re navigating career decisions, dating and relationships, friendships, independence, identity exploration, or simply figuring out who you want to be, eating disorder recovery often adds another layer of complexity to an already transformative stage of life.

Recovery While Becoming is a virtual therapist-led support group designed specifically for individuals in their twenties who are recovering from an eating disorder and seeking connection with others who understand the challenges of this journey.

Led by Emily Wong, MFT, this group provides a supportive and affirming space to explore topics such as body image, self-esteem, identity development, relationships, career stress, life transitions, boundaries, and maintaining recovery while building a meaningful adult life.

Whether you are newly in recovery or further along in your journey, this group offers a place to connect with peers, feel less alone, and navigate the unique challenges of young adulthood alongside others who understand.

Renew & Rise: A Process Group for Women 40+

This virtual weekly therapy group is designed for women aged 40 and older who are navigating the complex, often overlapping transitions of midlife. Whether you’re experiencing career shifts, redefining identity after children leave home, adjusting to the emotional and physical changes of peri/menopause, or working through body image concerns, this group offers a supportive, therapeutic space to explore and process these experiences.

Through open dialogue, shared reflection, and the power of connection, participants will gain deeper insight into their evolving identities, manage stress and anxiety related to change, and build resilience for this unique and powerful phase of life. Group members will be encouraged to express emotions, challenge limiting beliefs, and support one another in cultivating acceptance, self-worth, and renewed purpose.

Intuitive Eating Support Group

This is a space for those wanting to learn and/or continue their path towards intuitive eating. In this group, we will discuss the important role of nutrition in your recovery.

You will get support in how to become an intuitive eater as well as learn other recovery tools that have helped our clients find freedom with food.

  • Location: Virtual & in person options
  • Day/time: Fridays, 12:30-1:30 pm
  • Fee: $50 per session, a commitment of 4 sessions/month.

Men’s Recovery Process Group 

The intention of this group is to be a supportive space for those who want to work on their interpersonal skills and build stronger, more authentic relationships. Participating in a peer group increases self-awareness, insight, and compassion towards self and others.

Topics covered in the group include life stressors such as anxiety, disordered eating, career challenges, addictive behaviors, and relationship dynamics. Meetings will start with a facilitated check-in and then space to discuss various topics relevant to group members.

Mindful Movement for Recovery: Yoga & Somatic Healing Group

Recovery is about more than changing behaviors, it is also about rebuilding a compassionate and trusting relationship with your body.

Mindful Movement for Recovery is an in-person Saturday morning group designed for individuals in eating disorder recovery who are interested in exploring movement from a place of curiosity, self-care, and connection rather than control, compensation, or performance.

Led by Emily Wong, MFT, this group integrates gentle yoga, mindfulness practices, and somatic healing techniques to help participants reconnect with their bodies in a safe and supportive environment. Through guided movement, breathwork, grounding exercises, and group reflection, participants will have the opportunity to cultivate body awareness, reduce stress, and develop greater trust in their body’s signals and needs.

  • Location: Marina office
  • Fee: $65 per session, a commitment of 4 sessions/month.
  • This is a closed group, max of 8 participants

Group participants will have opportunities to:

  • Explore movement as a form of self-care rather than calorie burning or body manipulation
  • Develop greater awareness of physical sensations, emotions, and nervous system responses
  • Practice mindfulness and grounding skills
  • Strengthen body trust and body respect
  • Learn somatic tools for managing stress, anxiety, and overwhelm
  • Connect with others in recovery in a supportive, nonjudgmental space

*No prior yoga experience is necessary. All bodies, abilities, and recovery journeys are welcome.
