Our Specialties

Specialized Eating Disorder Treatment for Every Stage of Recovery

At Evolve Wellness Group, we provide compassionate, evidence-based treatment for individuals struggling with eating disorders and disordered eating. We understand that no two recovery journeys are the same, which is why our therapists and registered dietitians work collaboratively to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each client’s unique needs.

Eating disorders affect people of every age, gender, body size, race, ethnicity, and background. Whether you’ve recently begun noticing symptoms or have been struggling for years, recovery is possible with the right support.

We specialize in treating a wide range of eating disorders and related concerns, using evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy–Enhanced (CBT-E), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure Therapy, nutrition counseling, and a weight-inclusive, compassionate approach to care.

Anorexia Nervosa

Anorexia nervosa is characterized by restrictive eating, an intense fear of weight gain, and significant distress related to body image. Although often associated with low body weight, anorexia can occur in individuals of all body sizes. Our team provides comprehensive treatment that addresses both the physical and emotional aspects of recovery, helping clients restore nourishment, reduce food-related anxiety, and rebuild trust in their bodies.

Bulimia Nervosa

Bulimia nervosa involves recurring episodes of binge eating followed by compensatory behaviors such as self-induced vomiting, excessive exercise, fasting, or misuse of laxatives. Many individuals feel trapped in a cycle of shame and secrecy. Our specialized treatment helps clients interrupt the binge-purge cycle, establish consistent eating patterns, and develop healthier ways of coping with emotions.

Binge Eating Disorder (BED)

Binge Eating Disorder is the most common eating disorder and involves recurrent episodes of eating large amounts of food accompanied by a sense of loss of control. Unlike bulimia, binge episodes are not followed by regular compensatory behaviors. Our clinicians help clients move beyond dieting, reduce binge eating, improve body image, and build a more peaceful and flexible relationship with food.

Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID)

ARFID is more than picky eating. Individuals with ARFID may avoid food due to sensory sensitivities, fear of choking or vomiting, or a lack of interest in eating, leading to nutritional deficiencies and significant interference with daily life. We provide specialized treatment for children, adolescents, and adults using exposure-based interventions, nutrition counseling, and individualized therapeutic support.

Other Specified Feeding or Eating Disorder (OSFED)

Many people struggle with serious eating disorder symptoms without meeting the full criteria for anorexia, bulimia, or binge eating disorder. OSFED includes presentations such as atypical anorexia, purging disorder, and subthreshold forms of other eating disorders. Regardless of the diagnosis, your struggles are valid, and effective treatment is available.

Compulsive Exercise

While movement can be an important part of overall well-being, exercise becomes problematic when it is driven by guilt, anxiety, rigid rules, or the need to compensate for eating. Compulsive exercise commonly accompanies eating disorders and can interfere with physical recovery and emotional health. We help clients develop a more balanced, flexible, and enjoyable relationship with movement.

Orthorexia

Orthorexia is characterized by an unhealthy obsession with eating “clean,” “healthy,” or “pure” foods. Although not currently recognized as a formal DSM diagnosis, orthorexia can significantly impact physical health, mental well-being, and quality of life. Our team helps clients reduce rigid food rules, challenge perfectionism, and rediscover flexibility and enjoyment in eating.

Night Eating Syndrome

Night Eating Syndrome involves consuming a significant portion of daily calories in the evening or waking during the night to eat. Often associated with disrupted sleep, stress, and emotional distress, this condition can significantly impact quality of life. Our treatment addresses both the behavioral and emotional factors contributing to nighttime eating while helping clients establish consistent eating patterns throughout the day.

Eating Disorders in Athletes

Athletes often face unique pressures related to performance, body composition, and nutrition. These demands can increase the risk of disordered eating, compulsive exercise, Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport (RED-S), and clinical eating disorders. Our clinicians understand the unique challenges athletes face and work collaboratively to support recovery while helping individuals safely return to training and competition when appropriate.
