Eating Disorder Process Group for Women 50+
This in-person process group offers women 50 and older a warm, supportive space to explore their relationship with food, their bodies, and themselves while connecting with others who may be navigating similar experiences.
Eating disorder recovery later in life can bring up unique challenges. Changes in our bodies, relationships, careers, family roles, health, and sense of identity can all affect how we experience ourselves and our relationship with food and body image. This group provides an opportunity to slow down, reflect, and explore these experiences with the support of others.
Facilitated by a licensed therapist specializing in eating disorders, the group will provide space to explore topics such as:
- Eating disorder thoughts and behaviors
- Body image and body acceptance
- Aging and changing relationships with our bodies
- Perfectionism and self-criticism
- Relationships and changing family roles
- Identity and life transitions
- Grief, loss, and major life changes
- Developing greater self-compassion and flexibility
Rather than focusing only on symptoms, this is a process-oriented group that emphasizes connection, insight, and meaningful change. Members will have the opportunity to share their experiences, receive support, and learn from one another in a confidential and compassionate environment.
You don’t have to navigate recovery alone. Healing can happen in community, at any age.
