Laura Cochrane

Client Care Coordinator

I have always been an empathetic person with an interest in human behavior. I’ve spent my career so far in publishing, working in both editorial and marketing. In the past few years, I have begun to explore the world of healing, which led me to take courses in Swedish massage and reiki, as well as starting a qigong practice. These experiences have given me a sense of the powerful connection between emotions and the physical body.

I belong to a sangha (meditation group) in the Plum Village tradition, which was started by Thich Nhat Hanh. In my meditation and in my work with my own therapist, I find it helpful to practice acknowledging, allowing, and creating spaciousness around thoughts and emotions that I feel caught on. For me, therapy is a helpful tool to work through difficult situations and patterns of behavior with courage. Therapy keeps me open to the world.

My Why

I am planning to go to school to become a therapist, so in this role, I hope to learn more about what that’s like. I’m grateful for the opportunity to help clients on their journey to healing.
